Creative Writing

Creative Writing Classes

The Creative Writing Course provides an introduction to writing creatively, whether that writing comes in the form of poetry, short story, memoir or novel.

Participants learn how to get their ideas onto a page, develop their creative muscles, and increase their confidence with various forms of the written word.

Previous classes have shared their work, with a public reading during 2022’s Limerick Lifelong Learning Week.

Origins of the Course

A Creative Writing Course began in Hospital FRC in 2014, bringing together a talented group of writers – the majority of whom had no previous writing experience. The group participated in a Limerick City of Culture Project and their work was published along with others Writers Groups in ‘Corners of Your Minds.’ The book launched at Listowel Writers Festival and available to borrow from the FRC.

If you would like to explore writing and expressing yourself on paper please contact the centre at info@hospitalfrc.com or on 061 383884 to register your name.
